"1. remove water container and spill tray and lay machine on back. 2. remove 4 screws securing filter holder collar. 3. remove filter holder collar. 4. check new filter holder collar for raised casting protrusions. remove with file if necessary. 5. fit new filter holder collar with writing towards the front. 6. lubricate tabs of filter holder with vaseline. 7. stand machine upright and replace water container and spill tray. 8. fill with water and turn on. 9. without coffee in filter holder flush with water. 10. enjoy a coffee."

"Unscrew 4 screws on filter holder collar and the one central screw holding in steam ring. refit new parts note as space between base collar is limited you need either a shortstubby or offset screwdriver. the benefit of doing this is also that it provides an opportunity to also clean a likely part-clogged primary filter that holds the steam ring in place."
