"The new drum seal is easy to fit but needs two people. place the lip over the drum, turn the seal into the drum inside out, this help to position the retaining ring. its difficult to stretch the spring to engage the retaining ring ends so leave the last say 100mm in front of the seal. clip the ends together with a flat blade screwdriver, lever the ring into its position behind the drum lip. front section is easy. remember to unfold the seal take it slow using flat bald screw drivers like tyre levers to easy the ring home extra pair of hands helps."

"Fairly easy task - gasket springs can be fiddly. requires removal of top and front panel. remove springs using a few small screwdrivers install using the back of two thin forks or spoons and walk the spring around the retaining between the spring and seal."

"Open the door on the lower panel to access attachment screw, unclip lower panel. hint there is an exploded diagram of the assembly that helps you find the clipping points. unclip the rubber hose on the inside of the lower panel door. remove the detergent drawer from the top panel and unclip the panel move the panel out of the wayto the side or if youre game unplug the connectors to completely release the panel. the screws holding the main paneldoor assembly should now be accessible open the door and remove the spring clip holding the seal to the main panel. this can be done with two pairs of long-nose pliers to engage the spring ends and pull them apart enough to pull the clip over the seal. unscrew and remove main panel remembering to unplug the door lock connector. unbolt the two counterweights on either side of the drum. it may be possible to remove and refit the seal without doing this but access to the seal flange and spring clip is easier without them. there is another spring clip holding the seal around the drum remove this. check for correct orientation and refit the new seal over the flange and reinstall the spring clip. it might help to have an extra pair of hands for this exercise but its possible to get it on by yourself. refit the counterweights, refit the front panel and dont forget to reconnect the door lock. fit the seal to the front panel flange and refit the spring clip. check that the door closes as it should. reclip the upper and lower panels and fasten all screws. route the rubber tube inside the lower panel door close the door."
