"Part is easy to locate and theoretically easy to replace, however when i removed the overflow hose from the part the hose split (presumably because the device has been working for a good number of years and the hose has been repeatedly exposed to high temperatures. i was able to rectify this by cutting the split part of the hose and flipping it so that the heat damaged end was in the bottom of the machine not the top. this would have been impossible to do without a set of tamper-proof screw-drivers to remove the base plate. also be careful when removing the old part there is an o-ring seal that seals the tube from the valve to the boiler which i left in the old part and nearly lost - couldnt work out why it was leaking steam from a different place after i had reassembled it. *****safety note***** very high electrical risk particularly if device is leaking during operation. ensure device is unplugged while conducting repairs. also machine gets very hot while in operation time is needed between testing device and re-opening to find faults as components remain hot for some time after operation."
