"Dishwasher hose incorrectly installed and hose was kinked and over time developed a small hole that caused substantial water damage - had been happening for years but no evidence until recently. our plumber needed to drill another access hole in the kitchen cupboard to feed the hose correctly and drill a hole in the cover plate in the side of a machine to ensure the hose could not kink. our plumber also found accessing the hose connection inside the machine extremely difficult. the hose fitting for this machine cannot be replaced by a universal part. thanks bigwarehouse spares for saving the day with a replacement part."

"Leakage of water between slab and floating floorboards was detected by partial lifting and warping of boards run the dishwasher on rinse cycle and note by placing a torch at ground level whether water is dripping down the back. turn the power off and remove the plug. isolate the water supply and remove the plastic hose connection. undo the drain hose clamp and pull off the drain hose from the sink u trap. on the pl8210x there are two side screws in the door recess to fix the dishwasher to either side of the cabinetry. remove those first. tilt the unit up and place carpet under the feet to prevent scratching the floor. slide the unit out slightly and feed out the power cable water feed line and the drain hose. once the dishwasher is away from the recess tilt the unit acw (from the front) on its side. gently with a narrow screwdriver push back all the front and side tabs on the collection pan and tilt the pan down from the front and drop it out. with a pair of multigrips force the two end tabs together of the retainer clip for the drain hose and slide it away from the pump assembly. holding the pump assembly with one hand very gently work loose the hose until it comes away. slide it out of the dishwasher hose then slide in the new hose making sure to slide on the retaining clip before fitting on the hose onto the discharge of the drain pump. use the multigrips to pull the two tabs on the retainer and slide the retainer into position. this is the hardest part and it will take a couple of goes. place the pan back on inserting the rear tabs first and tilting the pan upwards once in place. feed the drain hose back into the cabinet and turning the dishwasher upright sliding the dishwasher back in. you need to feed the drain hose water line and power lead up in the underside of the sink area as you do it. re-connect the power plug the water line and the drain hose. make sure that you have an end loop on the drain line to prevent syphoning. remove the carpet and re-screw the side screws back into place. run the rinse cycle again and check for leaks. if you never had to replace this hose before go and watch a few videos on youtube as it is pretty straightforward."
