"The element is fitted behind a plate at the back of the inside of the oven. however the electrical connectors are on the other side at the back wall of the oven necessitating the removal of the oven from its place and the removal of the back metal covers. the element is held in place by two 6mm() captive bolts and flanged nuts which are difficult to get at. a tube spanner might have helped. i dismantled the fan motor and taped the spindle to prevent damage when holding it with a multi-grip and removed the fan inside the oven. it is fastened in place by a 10mm left hand tread nut. then i removed the 6mm retaining nuts from the element and removed the old element. assembly is in reverse. the new element did not have the 6mm captive bolts but i bought 2 14mm long replacements and glued them in place. i used the original 6mm nuts. the cost 50c and some inconvenience. main thing is my wifes very happy"
