"Take off top burr and the nut with a 10mm spanner and the washers etc below - lay them out in a sensible order so that you can put them back in the correct order. youll also need to take off the plastic cover by undoing the 4 phillips screws. look around carefully for a small spring inside for the pressure switch. youll need to put that back and carefully pull the cover back on. id rather that than diy and i managed to do it. pressure switch didnt work first time so undid 4 screws and repositioned. jobs gives you a really good chance to clean out the grinder.i havent installed the spacer yet. i can see i will need it down the track."

"Easily fitted. remove the hopper then remove the top of the grinder (instructions are in the sunbeam manual). this is the same process as for cleaning the the grinder burrs. lock the lower burr with a screwdriver and remove the nut (left hand thread) then remove the lower burr. the spacer fits under the burr. when refitting make sure the burr locates on the pin directly under it and retighten the nut. do not overtighten it is only a small thread. replace the top and the top burr as per the sunbeam manual and check that the centre can still turn when set to fine grind."

"Good advice already exists for this but what is not clear is whether the existing spacer should be retained as well as the new one or whether the new spacer replaces the old."
