"Had to unsolder steam control wires, remove and replace micro switch and then resolder wires. opening the case was difficult due lack of tutorial advice. found the info on a blog."

"Dont attempt this repair unless you are proficient and have good quality hand tools. remove water tank, undo retaining screws from rear of the machine that hold the top. release two screws from underneath the front of the machine to allow the top to slide rearwards about 10mm then remove top. unclip the micro switch (carefully) unsolder the wiring solder new micro switch wiring refit (carefully). turn steam valve to the closed position (very important) offer steam valve knob to spline insert onto valve spline. check operation and contact with micro switch blade. close up machine refit all screws fill with water turn on and test. if you have done it correctly the steam heating wand will operate as new."
