"After discovering the fan was not working in the freezer compartment but the fridge was still running getting cold on the rear wall of the freezer compartment. i removed the ducting the white panel 6 screws from the rear wall of the freezer the 4 screws that hold the fan motor in place to the white panel. i also removed the 2 mounts for the removable central shelf which allowed the panel to fall forward. i then disconnected the earth wire from the back of the white panel on the rhs. i then marked the two power wires for the fan so that i could idenfy which wire went where being careful not to damage the wire mount or the additional insulation when i disconnected them. to dismantel the fan cradle assembly noticed that the treads stripped easily so i enlarged the holes replaced the them with a stainless steel screw nyloc nut. to remove the fan blade i took the advised from another handyman sprayed lubrcant on the shaft. i then removed the lock ring on the front of the blade used a small pair of vice grips to secure the fan motors shaft. being careful not to damage the fan blade i then prised the blade off the shaft. to diagnose the fault i relied on the feed back of other people which proved to be right. assembly just reverse the process. my fridge has been working like a trooper since. a big thanks to all"

"Remove the freezer rear shelf supports. unscrew the back panel and tilt forward. unplug motor wires x2 and earth wire. remove fan from panel. remove fan compression clip and pull blades off fan shaft tight fit be careful to avoid breaking the blades. reassemble in reverse remembering to install the front fan bracket before mounting the blades. putting the panel back is a bit a juggle while ensuring wires are dressed properly away from metal edges."
