"There are four components of the sysem for automatic defrost system (thermal fuse switch defrost termination thermostat defrost timer and heater) which show the same symptom when faulty - unoperational automatic defrost system. very simple is to check the thermal switch as the first step of the diagnosis. first switch off the fridge and disconnect it from power by pulling the plug out. it is necessary to remove the plastic radiator cover (two screws) locate the thermal swich (plastic assembly stripped on the top-right edge of the radiator) slide off plastic covers from the electrical contacts of the ts (two) do continuity test of tr using multi-meter (resistance selected). if check indicates no continuity through tr it is faulty. tr cant be repaired hence it has to be replaced. it is necessary that genuine spare part is used only as it is protective device for other much more expensive components of the defros system. the faulty tr is easily disconnected. the new tr is to be re-connected. the male-female connectors provided with the tr assembly prevent incorrect connection. the defrost system is to be checked for correct operation in accordance with user manual."
