"Freezer rear panel removal took most time - if iced up use hairdryer to warm rear panel to assist release. use two (20mm wide) flat metal tools with 80deg bend 5mm back from end - insert one tool through each upper vent (use slot at side nearest panel centre to avoid breaking vent ribs). fan replacement is straightforward - 2 screws only - dont overtighten - beware brittle plastic. note that freezer fan runs only when fridge compressor runs. dont forget to empty water drainevap container located above compressor motor - will likely be full after defrost. tip - if fridge full and desperate to save contents - temporary fix - rig a 75mm computer cooling fan assy in place of faulty fan (powered from low voltage external plugpack) use cable ties to hold in place -airflow to rear of fridge temporarily re-instal freezer rear panel (after lubricating plastic retention clips with vaseline to facilitate easy later removal). let fan run continuous - it works ok will save the day."
