"Replacing thermostat is an almost exact reversal of the removal procedure. unplug fridge before beginning work. thermostat lamp switch housing is secured by two philips head screws and must be removed. plastic conduit encasing wiring is secured by a philips head screw and must be removed. tape at end of conduit encasing wiring capillary must be partially unwrapped. sensor which is held to back plate by loose bracket and two philips head screws must be unsecured. disconnect wiring from old thermostat after drawing a diagram noting terminal connection numbers and wire colors. new thermostat terminal layout differed from old but the numbers stamped on the housing remain the same. essentially the thermostat switching for this model fridge consists of a double pole single throw normally closed when warm arrangement. tip if in doubt regarding terminal contacts switching do the following: before connecting wires to new thermostat and with old thermostat still wired and in place detach old sensor and secure new sensor in its place. route the capillary out the fridge door. close door switch fridge on and allow to cool to open the switch contacts then test with a multimeter. tip only unstick as much original conduit tape as necessary to free wires and then re-wrap using same tape after replacing capillary with new unit."

"Important - disconnect fridge from the electrical power outlet. remove x2 screws securing thermostat fridge light cover from the inside wall of the cabinet. disconnect the two wires blade connectors noting which terminals they were attached to. remove two screws securing the thermostat bracket. undo the bracket from the old thermostat and install it on the new one. undo screws clamping the end of the sensor tube to the evaporator and remove the complete thermostat unit. reverse of the above to install the new thermostat."
