"Press the eject lever. remove old filter. firmly press in the new unit until it clicks into place. run the water for a few minutes into a glass and dispose of. this gets rid of any air bubbles and any loose carbon."

"Sorry but this time it wasnt a good experience - i have paid for the filter 102.96 postage 16.33 return express post 15 and have nothing to show for it i had huge problems with trying to fit the filter which i fully explained in a letter (remember those) which i enclosed when i returned the filter in an express post overnight bag asking for help on the 7th of july. i returned the filter with the letter and copies of all relevant model part etc. numbers to the address on the box it was delivered in - big warehouse spares 8 ruddock street corrimal n.s.w. 2518. when i saw your email i had hoped it was going to be an answer to my problem. so i have spent approx. 135 and still have my old filter (which is no trouble to install and uninstall - no problems there - but the new one - no way - it kept shooting out across the kitchen hitting the wall on the other side a solution please"

"If you look back through your records you will see that the first filter sent had a different part number than the one we were replacing. however after correctly fitting it the filter shot out of the fridge across the room and broke. we were forced to pay almost full price for a second one. we fitted it with much greater care and after fitting it again it still kept shooting out of its place each time we tried to fill a glass of water. we persevered and the number of times it shot out of place became further and further apart. it hasnt come out for a couple of weeks now but we are left with a very loud humming noise when the water is used either filling a glass or when the ice tray is filled inside the freezer. so although it might be the current replacement part it doesnt strictly behave in the same way as the original. we think you should warn people of the potential problems because it is very easy to have the door open after fitting just to keep an eye on it and then to have the filter shoot out across the room and the plastic lugs that fit into the fridge break off when they hit the wall or floor. also they should be warned that it might make an annoying whine which might have something to do with pressure"

"Had to dismantle the arm of the vegetable cover from the broken unit and fit to the new. this was a simple swap over. i would have thought this would have come with the unit ordered."
