"Quite easy to replace the timer. however bigwarehouse sent me different spec. timer as compare to the original timer. the original timer is 8 hours cycle with 7 minutes defrost period. they sent me a 8 hours cycle with 25 minutes defrost period. now my ice cube maker doesnt work well as the ice cube melted during the defrost period and re-freeze again."

"I havent as yet fitted the part because the defrost system had begun to work again after i had ordered the part. perhaps the action of dismantling the freezer section etc improved the contacts or something. that can happen when living on the coast where salt in the air is a major reason for failure of electrical and electronic parts. i suspect the problem will show itself again in the near future but in the meantime i dont want to disturb a system that is now working ok."
