"You have to pull the whole plastic drum out of the machine, split the plastic drum to access the inner stainless steel wash drum. i had to cut the three bolts that hold the spider to the wash drum. corrosion is a killer. reverse the process. job done"

"Big job.. take off the lid, remove the electrics and control panel base kick plate front panel and door. disconnect all plugs as you go. tip: take pictures of where things go as you remove them. remove ballast weights motor all pipe connections. lift drum out or washer split the two halves of the outer drum by removing bolts. remove the drive pulley wheel and slide inner drum out of the outer drum half. remove the three retaining bolts. these had to be drilled out. pop out the old spider. clean everything then reassemble in reverse order."

"The old spider bolts had seized and could not be easily removed and it was necessary to use a small angle grinder with a stainless steel disc to cut through the old spider arms and bolts..we must be careful not to cut the wash drum when cutting the old spider arms so a piece of thin steel was wedged under the old spider arm.."

"Download manufacturers full service manual from google site search is good value. complete drum has to be removed from washing machine to access broken spider supporting the drum. will need to order 3 x fixing bolts with spares as the only way i could extract the bolts from the spider was to cut the heads off the bolts."
